What Is Noiselezz?

Noiselezz is a newly invented device aimed at preventing and treating people with snoring problems and the more severe form obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome (OSAS). OSAS is the most well manifested form of the snoring diseases in which the affected person stops breathing during sleep because of obstruction of the airway passage towards the lungs. Due to the sleeping problems the affected individuals perform daytime activities at a very reduced level, which does give rise to a vide range of problems, both from a medical point of view and from a social behavioural point. It has been well established that labour accidents as well as traffic accidents and reduced lifespan is immensely related to the prevalence of the snoring disease.

The product is basically an OTC product - ready for use for virtually everyone with a snoring or OSAS problem.

The product can be customized further either by modulation by the consumer himself or by professional aid by the dentist, the nurse, the technician and alike.

Medical implications

Snoring is the mildest expression of the fulminate syndrome of sleep apnoea syndrome, a disease that diminishes the quality of sleep. The reason for this is that the snoring appears when the sleeping person are having the throat obstructed by lingual and pharyngeal tissues, thereby narrowing the free airway space needed for filling of the lungs with air, see the figures below. The result is less oxygen into the organism, with a whole range of medical physiological implications from strokes to anxiety. - Stress symptoms that ultimately leads to premature death. The disease has been described in numerous articles in the medical literature (Saletu, et al. 1998; Noda et al. 1993; Douglas1993; Ferbere 1992; Engman 1992; Maniglia 1993; Lavie 1981; Redline 1993; Findley 1988; Wiemann 1992; Fairbanks1993; Fujita 1993; Hochban 1993; Jennum 1990; Becker 1993; Ingemarsson-Matzen 1997).

Hospitals and private general practitioners including Ear-, Nose- and Throat- specialists (ENT) are having major problems in treating these patients, due to lack of price and medical acceptable treatment modalities. - Noiselezz gives the answer!

Social implications

As a result of the impaired sleep, the person feels un-alert during normal daytime activities; this includes less concentration in labour work, driving, family life etc. Hence we se a doubling of labour accidents and a sevenfold prevalence in car accidents (return to ref. above).

Because of the resulting fatigue, reduced social and sexual activities including matrimonial problems occur.

Discretion from other products

Orthodontic individually created devices have been produced very scarcely at a high cost (all of these are produced by the dentist and his laboratory). Basically what distinguishes this invention from other inventions/products is that the upper and the lower members of the device are resilient hinged, so as to facilitate natural movements of the jaws relatively during sleep (eg. Jawning). This is very important because most of the other known products will be displaced when the lower jaw are moved away from the tight socket attached to the upper jaw, thereby showing no therapeutically effect. In contrast Noiselezz has shown a nearby complete effect (Ingemarsson 91%, Austrian Group (Saletu) 90%, Svendborg Group (Hentzer) 89%) of the subjects using the invention.
